“OUR VISION IS TO HAVE SOUL WINNERS TRAINED IN EVERY HOUSE!
John 3:16, in the latter part, gives us the vision of our Lord, that none should perish. All Christians are responsible for those who perish around them. Jesus said that if you follow Him, I will make you fishers of men. Professional fishermen catch thousands of fish in their lifetime. Therefore, every follower of Christ must expand their vision for the lost.
At LHI, our vision is to return to this early Church practice. We envision Christians from different churches meeting together in regions of every village, town, city, state and country of the world. They come with one passion – to be more effectual witnesses for the Lord!
While working on the mission field, the Lord instructed me that I was to form home groups. Without a ministerial leader, these newborn babes were to fellowship and share their testimony with each other. I was further instructed to teach them how to duplicate this same experience in friends and family by repeating this same testimony in front of them. Thus, before anyone told them they could not they quickly experienced that they could be a witness for their Lord.
From the beginning, fellowship in the Christian home, without a minister present was a normal practice. In a modern Christian church, the alarming fact is that less than twenty percent of all true believers today have even led one person to the Lord Jesus Christ in their entire life. My friends, this is the bride’s great sin. Church has become more of a spectator sport than having joint participation by every member. Yet in the beginning, a church of over a thousand believers was found in a hundred homes. A dozen or so Christians met together, had communion and fellowship with each other.
Acts 1:8 “but ye shall receive power at the coming of the Holy Spirit upon you, and ye shall be witnesses to me. Each and every true believer has a responsibility to be a witness. A witness here is translated “martyr”. Our witness is the personal expressions of God’s grace and power working in our life daily. It’s that miracle of deliverance or healing or any other salvation experience that God has performed on your behalf. You shall be a witness either good and effectual or bad and weak!
Ones documented testimony has the power in our courts to either free or even convict to death the one being charged. Life and death are in the power of our Christian witness. But as in this verse, the greatest power is in the “spoken word” of our testimony in the precious blood of the lamb. Yet we choose to either bear true or false witness. An unspoken witness is a false witness. Fear can keep one out of the courtroom and it can keep us from obeying the Lord’s command.
